25 weeks movements

Hi,

I’m just curious how often you feel your baby move at around 25 weeks?

I’m 25 weeks and I don’t feel her everyday, is this normal? I know I should have a check up if she doesn’t move as much as normal, but she hasn’t been very active at all from the moment I felt her move.

Hey, where is your placenta?

Chelyanne · 06/06/2021 11:36

Is this your 1st?
Do you have an anterior placenta?

If you are ever worried do not hesitate to call your midwife or maternity assessment unit for reasurance.

@Moonshine11 @Chelyanne
Sorry I should have mentioned that I have a posterior placenta, which makes me wonder even more why I’m not feeling her much! It is my first pregnancy.

I felt her last night, but I just feel like I should maybe be feeling her move more than once every couple of days. I work on my feet for hours a day which doesn’t help with feeling the movement either I don’t think.

It's really easy to miss movements when you're busy (especially the 1st) and walking around tends to rock baby to sleep too. She will get stronger and the movements will be much harder to miss. You should notice them increasing until around 32wk then they usually stay about the same until birth. Some develop patterns and others do not so that may or may not cause some worry later on.

Walking around with make them sleepy.
But tbh I always tell people to get checked for reassurance.
Once every couple of days I wouldn’t be happy with. Give your MAU a ring

I'm 24+6 with a posterior placenta and feel baby move everyday, some days they're more active than others but been feeling daily movements for a few weeks. If I'm moving around I don't feel her but she starts kicking if I've sat for a bit

I’m 25 weeks and feel baby every day, almost feels like hourly. Some points in the day he’s more active than others and he’ll be moving non stop for a while. Some kicks can take my breath away and I can see movements from the outside.

I have an anterior placenta BUT this is baby number 4 for me.

However like the other posters suggested I would give your midwife/MAU a call, they should be able to get you in to monitor baby just to reassure you.

I’m sure I’ve read lots of posts here where women carrying their first babies sometimes don’t really feel regular movements until later on, as late as 28 weeks. So while I wouldn’t worry as such, I’d still get things checked.

I'm 23 weeks and don't feel much at all, I have a posterior placenta. I had a scan last week where I saw the baby do 2 somersaults in a row and it amazed me that I felt nothing! I need to go back for a repeat anomaly scan because he was way too active to get clear views.

I'd have to be sitting relaxed watching TV or something to feel slight movements, I wouldn't notice them when running around doing stuff they're so slight.
