Tears in second pregnancy

Ladies, what's your experience with perineal tears? I had 2-degree tears with my first pregnancy. Does it mean that I get the same or worse the second time around?

I had a 3rd degree tear and episiotomy with my first. I saw a consultant with dd2 9yrs later who said I had a less than 5% chance of tearing as badly again.

I've had 2nd degree tears with Dc2,3 and 4. Fully expecting to tear again with DC5. But I've been fortunate that 2-4 were not particularly painful.

So for me still tore but not as bad as the first.

It depends on several factors so you have a 50/50 chance of it really. You should discuss it when they ask about birth plans (started asking me at 28wk).

I had episiotomy cut with our 1st. 2 episiotomy cuts with 2nd (he was 10lb 12oz). 3rd came faster than expected, had a big head and was back to back through labour so I tore from V2A. I didn't find it hard to recover from but the scar tissue is quite thin so can bleed if I get irritation down there.
Had an elcs with twins as breech. May go elcs again this time, they've said they'll bring her early if she's another big one and I'd rather elcs over induction.
