I've had a cold for the past week and now since yesterday I've been coughing too with a really tickly cough that is making my throat sore and dry (not covid I tested) . Wondering if there is anything I can do to help clear this up quickly? I know things like this can linger and I'm so worried about going into labour feeling under the weather 🥴

Hi I feel you today is my due date and I have a chest infection, full of cold and feel terrible 😞 unfortunately I don't think there's much you can do other than try and rest, fluids and let it pass. Hopefully by the time baby comes you will be over it / or over the worse x

Just to hopefully reassure you, I had a dreadful cold when I went in to labour with my second child, couldn’t be da he in without coughing and was terrified about how I’d manage to get through the birth! Once things started though I absolutely forgot about the cold and didn’t notice it at all, hopefully you’ll get a few more days and rest to get through the worst but any remaining symptoms you probably won’t even think about once you start!

@Goodebe thank you for the reassurance I was thinking and hoping the same so I'm glad to hear once things did kick off the cold was forgotten about! I'm feeling so rough this morning but going to have a shower and try abs jerk myself up! X
