Anxious

Currently in my 17th week of pregnancy but can’t help but to continue to feel anxious and worried somethings wrong with the baby as my sickness has stopped (which I know is normal for this stage of pregnancy) and I generally feel ok other than feeling tired. I had a MMC last year and it constantly plays on my mind and I feel like I worry more when I feel ok. I had a private scan at 16wk to find out gender and baby was fine. Is it normal to start feeling ok and fairly normal at this stage? The only difference is my bump is growing and I feel tired. Just hoping things get easier when I feel baby move.

I'm 42 and 10 weeks pregnant. This pregnancy wasn't exactly planned and I didn't discover I was pregnant until I was 6 weeks. I started taking folic acid and vitamins as soon as I knew I was pregnant and immediately gave up alcohol. I'm so worried that the lack of vitamins and folic in early pregnancy as well as the alcohol I'd had (there were a couple of drunken nights out) have done some serious harm to my baby. I'm also worried about my age and the increased risk of chromosome disorders. I've booked a private NIPT test which is scheduled for tomorrow. My husband doesn't seem to understand my worries and just keeps saying 'what will be will be'.
I've not told anyone that I'm pregnant in case there is something seriously wrong or I loose the baby. I feel so alone right now and so stressed by it all.

Sorry only just seen this. Baby is now 6months old and everything was absolutely fine. It’s normal to feel worried and anxious. We had extra private scans to put my mind at ease slightly as the wait between NHS scans seems so long. Hope your tests went ok and you got the results you wanted x

Dear @NS1988 congratulations on your baby! I'm pregnant and dealing with anxiety too, and I was thinking of booking extra private scans too.

@IsabelHerna thank you! I think it was definitely worth the money especially if you are struggling with anxiety x
