First trimester tiredness

So I'm only 5wk 4 days with my 2nd pregnancy. My son is only just two so maybe that is the answerGrin
But I do not remember anything like this exhaustion. Have I just blocked out all of the horrificness of the first trimester?
Someone please give me your coping mechanisms to try because I'm sleeping 8.45pm until 6am daily and the last three days I have had to nap. I've now been awake only two hours and I could go back to sleep again.
Feel like such a lazy, boring mum and wife and I'm assuming it will only get worse as I am still so early.
Any words of wisdom or solidarity appreciated!!

It's awful, isn't it? I really get quite annoyed when I think that there are almost no provisions made in employment law for tiredness in early pregnancy. Unless you have an understanding boss, you're somehow just expected to go on as normal, but it's so debilitating. Even when I am not feeling like I'm going to nod off, I just lack energy and motivation to do anything at all.

I remember being exhausted in the early weeks and going to bed around 7pm. It's normal I think!

@MrsJVJ I've been exactly the same (luckily DS is 9 so more interested in his Xbox than me!) but I'm 6+5 with twins so they say you get extreme tiredness. Some days I wake up and feel so drowsy like I need to go back to sleep. I've tried fighting it and just feel so useless for the whole day so I've actually found having the nap as soon as I need it now gives me more energy for the rest of the day

I was exactly the same for the first 6 weeks. Luckily it was over Christmas break so I didn't have to work or take DC to school!

Genuinely couldn't get out of bed. I have ME anyway but I've always gotten better in pregnancy, and this was next-level exhaustion.

I don't really have any words of wisdom other than just go with it. Sleep when you can. I have never felt exhaustion like it from 5 to 14 weeks. Thankfully it passed and didn't carry on!!
