Hi All,

Early pregnancy I think between 8-10 weeks. Im still waiting for midwife to get back in touch with me so cant confirm dates. The last day or so I’ve had increased white discharge. Its there when I wipe. Not smelly. Is this normal? I’ve read a few different things online. Also for full disclosure - i’ve on and off had pains over the last 4/5 weeks since I found out and definitely have a small bump shape now.

Thanks

Hi @Newday2021
All sounds quite normal to me. I'm 28 weeks and had increased discharge almost immediately into pregnancy and remember feeling crampy on and off up until about 16 weeks. The midwives said this was stretching pains.

Increases and decreases in discharge are very normal so long as it doesn't smell unusual.
Cramping is pretty common too but if it becomes a lot more painful and/or accompanied by red blood do report it to your GP and they can refer you to epau for checks.
A bump at this stage will be down to bloating, a combination of water retention and the slowing of your digestive system are common causes. It'll settle down and then a real bump will emerge later.

Thank you. I definitely ‘look’ pregnant as my mom has asked me and I had to make up some excuse so she doesnt realise.

Thanks all. My symptoms have continued this afternoon and I’ve started being sick so guessing it is just a HCG increase
