Hello everyone!
I'm currently ttc #2 for 8 months now. I usually am a POAS addict but somehow managed to wait till AF was due on Tuesday and when she never arrived I done a cheap test followed by a frer which was shockingly positive.
I am so over the moon but been googling and googling and can't seem to find the answer.

My tests have not been getting darker and I'm now 4 days late I only confirm O with opks. I had a progesterone test on day 21 and my results showed nothing didn't confirm that I ovulated and didn't confirm I did so now I'm thinking maybe I Ovulated later?
I got a negative digi on Thursday and positive frer since but they haven't been getting much darker. My doctor said to prepare for the worst so I'm hoping others can give me there experiences with this either positive or negative outcomes . Thanks in advance ladies! Il attach some pics in order. Recent clearblue and frer today.

The only times I've had tests be faint positives after af was due has been when I was having a chemical pregnancy (more often than anyone would like). Give it a few days and test again, if the pregnancy is implanting as it should your hormone levels should increase and give you clear positives. If they become fainter or clearly negative then you may be experiencing a chemical pregnancy.
All my chemicals I'd get faint positives for a days after af due then a negative by the time it was a week late, bleeding would start no more than a week after the negative tests.
These are very frustrating and seem much more common these days as home tests have become so sensitive.

Thank you for you honest reply! I'm so sorry for you losses and appreciate your honestly answer! It's definitely what I'm thinking I've experienced 2 miscarriages before my daughter who's 5 but never tested really more than once. Would you say the tests where similar to ures and was it a week after your af due you would get the bleeding? X

Bleed varied from 1-2 weeks after af was due, around a week after the 1st negative.
1st trimester mc's that were 8wk+ would vary more, usually get 1st bleed after mc 2wk after the 1st negative test. The last one took 3 weeks to go negative after passing baby.
On the brighter side. I had my last chemical in November and got my bfp with current baby in December.

This one is doing well thanks, growing fast and wriggling lots. She'll be worth all the heartbreak and worry we've had along the way.

I hope you get a definitive answer soon. Good luck

You could have you HCG monitored to see if it’s doubling? I know during covid everything is ‘not possible due to covid’ so they’ll probably say no. But it certainly used to be something they were happy to do.

For this one just the 2 cycles ttc, we'd had a break after a mc at 9wk in July. That one was a not ttc, not preventing relaxed approach. I'm not one for tracking ovulation etc, hubby is military so not always home and I think it'd stress me out doing all that stuff knowing he'd likely miss fertile windows due to work.

Fingers crossed for you it's good news and you just have a slow starter.

Mseddy · 05/06/2021 13:30

The lines look a similar strength to the chemical I had last year. Showed up on what would have been 11dpo and only got darker until about 14dpo then got lighter and I started to bleed. I was on progesterone though so my bleed was likely delayed from that too as I shouldn't have bled at all in theory. I really hope it's just a late implanter and it works out for you!

Thanks for your reply this is totally my fear! How long after af was due did you bleed if you don't mind me asking? Are you currently ttc just now? X

I had two days of strong positives then for some reason did another two tests different brands. Both completely negative. I thought like you it was over and I was going to start my monthly cycle. I was pregnant and my son was born healthy. I think maybe my urine was too diluted that day? But Iv no idea.
I have had cramping and bleeding with 3 pregnancies that went on to produce healthy babies. I wish you all the best.

Laurenxx94 · 07/06/2021 16:25

Well ladies had a early miscarriage pregnancy didn't progress! Best of luck to you all x

Sorry to hear this. If it makes you feel any better, my fertility consultant was really eager for me to have an embryo put back ASAP as there are studies that show an increase in fertility after a loss. He was right and my next embryo worked. I think of it as my loss paved the way for his/her little sister. Good luck in the future xx
