Does this sound like diastasis recti?

I'm 30 weeks and have a dent in the middle of bump and around belly button...never had this before...anyone else?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

How many weeks are you? Sometimes if baby is lying in an OP position hour belly can dip in the middle.

CandyLeBonBon · 05/06/2021 09:37

Possibly your baby is lying back to back so isn't pushing your belly out with their back/bum. I had that with all three of mine!

It is likely to be position of baby

I have diastasis recti (I know because this is my second pregnancy. I had it last time and have it again now) and don't feel anything specifically related to it except my bump protrudes quite a bit around the belly button area as the muscles are not holding everything as tightly as they might usually.

Same @eldermillennial i know I've got it again as I get the little mountain under my belly button if I don't think before I move. I don't think I've ever had a dent with it OP, keep an eye on it but try not to worry too much, baby probably trying to get comfortable now they're running out of room a bit!

Raindropumbrella · 05/06/2021 10:25

I had this on and off with my last baby (didn’t notice with the first) and realised it was due to baby’s positioning

HavelockVetinari · 05/06/2021 10:26

Diastasis recti doesn't sound likely - if you lie down on your back and try to sit up, does your bump go flat on top, or kind of tent-shaped? If so that's a DR. The dent you describe is far more likely to be due to baby lying back to back. It looks weird but it's not a problem!

georgarina · 05/06/2021 21:17

Thanks everyone! Yeah sounds likely it's just where baby is lying then. Never had it before and was concerned it looked really weird!

I know this is a old threat. But did your bump look like this. I have a dent in mine and I’m currently 24 weeks pregnant
