Hi all,

Feeling down and generally want to see what/how your weight gain journeys went?
I was a healthy bmi prior to pregnancy, but I’ve just gone into my third trimester and I’ve put on 2st 2lbs already. On the pregnancy calculator things it says my weight is higher than it should be for how many weeks I am?
I obviously don’t want to diet, I’m walking everyday, I’m not eating anything crazy. A normal breakfast lunch and dinner, but it seems to quickly be adding on.
Any help or suggestions?

Don't worry about it too much.

I'm over 29wk now and gained a similar amount to you but I'd gained most of that by 16wk! I ate rubbish in the early days but got back to healthy eating again and continued to exercise as much as I can. My hope is to stay around the same weight now so losing a bit of fat as baby packs on the lb's.
My 1st 2 pregnancies I gained 4st each, 3rd was 2.5st and our twins I stopped weighing myself after 2st gain. It went on rapidly with the double bump but I was only 7lb heavier after birth than pre-pregnancy. I have big babies so am always way over what online calculators advise I gain, so long as I avoid too much junk in the 3rd trimester I'm not too much heavier after birth. I'd packed on some excess pre-pregnancy with lockdown and a miscarriage so really need to minimise my gains now to make it easier to shift all my excess after birth.
