Bfp getting weaker

Hi all. I did a test with a 3 hour hold last night (8dpo). It came up positive (it's the one on the top). During the night I got to to pee and then woke super early (5.20) and needed to pee then too. My urine from the night before seemed slightly more concentrated. Anyway, this morning's was lighter.

Do you think it's just because the urine was a little less concentrated this morning?

Some of my tests did come up fainter than the day before. Fmu is largely a myth, it only still holds water somewhat because most people sleep through the night and have concentrated urine in the morning. But if you drink and use the loo at night, your test may be fainter and it's probably what happened. Good luck!

Well 8DPO is very early - I didn't get a BFP with my twins until 9DPO and it's not unheard of for FRER to have wicked evap lines

Sometimes there can be an initial release of hcg when an embryo tries to implant which then settles down so I've seen tests before which were then lighter and then got darker again. But it could also be a chemical

@Anonapapple I also got my bfp at 8dpo.

In my experience, with this pregnancy and previous ones, I have always found my afternoon/evening it I’ve to be more concentrated and give stronger lines. Fmu has always been lighter lines for me.

The top one looks like it could be an indent and the bottom is a clear negative. You're testing very early so it's best to leave a few days before testing again.

What's with the ring by the tests? I see this a lot on here.

Chelyane it's a pink line that came up right away and the bottom one also has a faint pink line. Not a clear negative at all...I've seen plenty 😄

The ring is to focus the camera.

Theres a reason why I tested early but it will take me too long to type.

I never got strong lines with FMU always darker around 9pm for me.
Just keep testing

I can see two lines but I would say if possible wait until 10DPO as you’re HCG levels double every 48-72 hours so in theory you should have a much clearer positive
I had my BFP at 8DPO but my partner was dubious because the line was so faint. I’m now 5+2 weeks

I had a covid vaccine yesterday and did a test in the morning to rule out pregnancy. Even though its early, I tend to find out early with my pregnancies so thought I would try anyway. It was negative but at the end of the day, it had turned very slightly positive.

I know about evaps but thought I would test with a frer anyway as something seemed a bit odd. The second pink line came up on the frer within a minute and the one this morning also came up very quickly too. The only times I have ever seen two pink lines on a pregnancy test within the timeframe is when I have been pregnant. I saw the second one last night from about a metre away. My husband could clearly see it too and asked was it a side effect of the vaccine 😄.

The cameras arent picking them up but they are pink and were there in the time. Come to think of it, I have never actually tested with FMU with my other pregnancies, and they were always easy to see.

Think I'm an evening urine kind of gal. Will let you all know later or tomorrow.

I always find my smu and sometimes late afternoon or evening pee is best. My fmu is absolute rubbish! I got a positive at 8dpo this time but it's fainter than yours

@Chelyanne no need to be rude. If you can’t see something, move on. OP wasn’t asking if we could see the lines.

Congratulations, definitely BFP. Some people have better urine in the afternoon/evening. I find a lot of people actually say their FMU is not the best x

Thanks everyone. Still in shock! The earlier photos were a bit rubbish, but the lines were clear in real life. Nonetheless, good to have a much clearer line now!

Thanks everyone. Used my last FRER tonight at 10dpo, 3 hour hold. Final test, and I think I can safely assume that yes, I am pregnant!
