Is polyhydramnios likely to reoccur?

Hi all, I’m in my first trimester with my second baby.
With my first, I was diagnosed with mild/borderline polyhydramnios at 39 weeks and ended up with a failed induction and ultimately a Caesarean section.
The doctors had done diabetes tests and infection screening and couldn’t find anything wrong with me and my baby was born perfectly healthy and there was nothing wrong with her either so we don’t really know why it happened.
I’m just wondering as there isn’t a lot of information about it online... does anyone have any knowledge about whether this is likely to reoccur this time? Or is it a “every pregnancy is different” situation?
If anyone has any personal anecdotes on the subject I’m all ears!

Thank you Smile

Our 2nd had it and the levels were very high. It was like a waterfall when they broke my waters but I had a fairly good natural unassisted delivery. Our 3rd had it too but not as much excess fluid as 2nd, again natural unassisted delivery. One of our twins had a mild case of it too, elcs as breech. They put it down to having larger babies for me. Odd thing is all 3 that had it have the same blood group (same as dh) and the other 2 that didn't have a different blood group (same as me).
