This is my third baby my last 2 Labours were okay ended up giving birth to my 2nd daughter in the prep room for c section it was all a bit of a blur but my midwife at my birth plan last week talked a lot about how she thinks this baby is going to come quick and she doesn't think I'll make it to hospital which has scared me a little she said that I could give birth at home alone or on the motorway as the hospital is 30 mins away plus my partner works 45 mins away 😫 im due in 4 weeks and I'm very anxious not even about the pain or anything just how quick and where it's going to happen I know I can't control it but how can I calm my nerves it's all I can think about 😬

Can you try to make 'plans' for all scenarios? Discuss with a midwife (maybe a different one who doesn't make you anxious!) what to do if it was to happen fast - who to call, what to do, coping strategies etc? Having a plan in place might make it less scary :)

Her response to most of them was to call an ambulance which of course I would anyway if I was on my own my midwife unit is 2 mins away but unfortunately you can't give birth there and they never answer the phone 🙄! She did tell me that as soon as I feel anything to just go to the hospital which I think I will do. My waters didn't break with my first 2 so I'm hoping they won't with this one and I'll be able to get up to the hospital in time if you know what I mean xx
