Hi, I am 10 weeks pregnant and have had some bleeding today and I am freaking out. I’m currently in a&e waiting to see a dr as the EPAU is closed now till tomorrow.

We only had a scan 2 weeks ago and everything looked good and I was feeling a bit more reassured but now I just don’t know what is happening. I’m so scared I’m losing my baby Sad it’s even worse that I have to be here on my own with no support.

Really hope that everything is ok.
I had a lot of bleeding with my 2nd and he was ok. They never worked out why I was having so much bleeding. Sending a hug.

Big hand hold. If it helps I had a huge bleed with both of mine at 8 weeks. With Dd it was just before we were leaving to go to our first (IVF) scan and I was expecting the worst but she's 5 now. Exactly the same bleed with Ds and he's 2.

Hand hold from me. Really hope all is ok 💐 xx

Aww @Friendofcheese glad you're getting checked out. My midwife at my booking appointment told me it's common to have a bleed between 10-12 weeks when the placenta takes over. I haven't bled I had just said I was worried as I had spotting at 6 weeks and she said that would be implantation and then reassured me that I may also have a bleed between 10-12 weeks. Hopefully it's nothing!

Toastedsesame · 02/06/2021 19:54

Hope everything is ok @Friendofcheese I'm 17 weeks and was in EPU yesterday after a big red bleed. Feared the worst but it was actually due to a blood clot in womb, which will apparently take care of itself.

Bleeding is extremely common, try not to panic.

custardbear · 02/06/2021 19:59

Good luck - I had a massive bleed at 12 weeks
And it lasted til around 18 weeks - she's fine and 12 now. My consultant said it's so common and not to worry

Friendofcheese · 02/06/2021 20:30

Thank you everyone. I’m still waiting unfortunately, hopefully will see someone soon

Oh bless you, I know how scary this is. I had a lot of bleeding throughout the first 16 weeks, but I had some heavy bleeding around 11 weeks I think it was and I was convinced something was wrong, but I'm currently cuddling my 2 week old baby girl.

It's so scary so I know how you feel, but completely possible that all is well and they won't find a reason for it.

Everything crossed for you xx

Jeds55 · 02/06/2021 21:49

Hope you've been seen now and that all is OK

Friendofcheese · 03/06/2021 11:55

I have a scan today so fingers crossed all is ok. I’m so nervous and anxious about it. The bleeding has stopped now but I’m so terrified.
