Hi, long post sorry 😐 looking for advise. Recently had my son not a pleasant labour experience at all Third degree tear 😔 so basically I went to hospital as my contractions were close together and was only 2cm I felt uncomfortable but not in agony so they sent me home. As I left the hospital car park my waters broke and I felt more uncomfortable so called the delivery suite but they told me to go home and get some sleep 🤣 ye right!!! Anyway was home for 20 mins couldn’t handle the pain so went back. When I got there I was in agony totally out of it they examined me and I was 6cm so within an hour went from 2-6/7cm and I just panicked. I begged for an epidural which slowed everything down ended up with forceps. I really wish the midwife would have encouraged me to keep going with gas and air! Anyway just wondering if that’s fast dilation for first baby? Wonder how quickly I would of had him If I didn’t have the epidural???

No advice, but you may be better off posting this in the Pregnancy topic where there is more traffic - this is a topic for MNHQ-arranged Q&As.

Hope you get some answers and that your 3rd degree tear is healing up OK - it sounds horrendous. Flowers
