FAINT POSITIVE

Hi everyone
I have been TTC for about 8 months now. I have officially missed my period in May and have been taking pregnancy tests the past couple of days. All coming up with very faint positives.

I took 3 fast response today and they all came back faint positive, however I took a clear blue digital just now and that says not pregnant so I'm very confused on what to do/think.

I really thought my period was coming this month as I have had the strangest cramps for about 2 weeks on and off and the most sensitive boobs the past week (more than ever before) so was almost sure my period was coming.

Any advice/help would be amazing!

They aren’t faint and you’re almost certainly pregnant

bumpdownthestairs · 01/06/2021 20:16

I would definitely take those as a positive that you are pregnant! Congratulations 😁 the clear blue ones don't seem as sensitive, you would think with them being more expensive they would be all singing all dancing though!

Thank you! I hope so.

I think just after 8 months of negatives I was expecting it to be very dark. Don't think I will fully believe it until I see 'pregnant' on that digital! Praying Smile

Ahhh fingers crossed this is your baby OP! When I was first pregnant I had period type cramps too.

h465644 · 01/06/2021 20:54

@Disney96 they are definitely positives so congratulations! By fast response do you mean first response? Or first response rapid response? If you mean the latter, then they aren't as sensitive and therefore the line won't be as strong Smile but, that's definitely not what I'd consider faint so I wouldn't worry! Xx

SirVixofVixHall · 01/06/2021 20:54

They really are not faint OP !
As Dalmation says.

Those are clear positives. Congrats and good luck

raspberryjamlove · 02/06/2021 10:47

Definitely positive congratulations! The digital tests often don't show up until a few days later as less sensitive :)

edgylemons · 02/06/2021 12:31

Definitely positive! Mine started paler than those, then after a week mine were super dark! I couldn't believe it (even the dark ones) after 2+ years of trying! Now 8 weeks and had a scan last week and all is how it should be!! Congratulations 😘❤️❤️

I've had positives again this morning but just had a little bit of bleeding when I went to the toilet there so I am panicking like mad. Hope it's implantation and not my period, however this hasn't happened before so thinking the worst😭 xx

How many weeks do you think you are? It could be implantation bleed. I had a small bleed at around 5 weeks. EPU scanned me as I was unsure of dates (surprise baby!). They had me back the following week as I was to early. But we saw the heart beat and all was ok.

So please dont loose hope yet. Has the bleeding stopped? Was it red? Xx

Thank you so much. I'm thinking about 4/5 weeks. That is making me feel a lot better I've been crying all afternoon 🤣 i am hopeless. I always think the worst xx

I was trying to conceive for 2 1/2 years and was about to start IVF before Covid hit. We then conceived naturally and I had a few faint positives before I did one of the tests where it states whether you are pregnant. I also had a light bleed. I'd recommend booking an early scan as this really reassured me especially when you have a heartbeat. I think I had mine at eight weeks. I really hope everything is okay. It's a worrying time but also The happiest time too.

h465644 · 02/06/2021 17:48

@Disney96 when I had an early loss at around 5 weeks my bleeding started off as spotting, then went to a bit more than spotting and within a day it was heavy with small clots, at no point did it stop though. Once it started it was there until it got heavier. Try not to panic if it's not spotting every time you go to the toilet and was just a one off. I found this really helpful at the time, as there's many different reasons why you could be spotting and it's not always due to a loss www.tommys.org/pregnancy-information/pregnancy-symptom-checker/bleeding-pregnancy. Also this photo I've attached from ClearBlue uk.clearblue.com/am-i-pregnant/implantation-bleeding

Thank you so much for your help. It's nice to know people who I've never met before care! Really helps so thank you.
I don't know why the tests aren't getting darker, I've tried again another there and it's even lighter than this mornings and then the blood it's just giving me bad vibes. But I have rang my doctors so should hear something before the end of the week xxx

Thank you so much for your reassurance. It helps massively. I have booked a doctors appointment, I'm thinking I am about 4/5 weeks it's just the blood that has thrown me off track massively. Did you get period cramps as well when you had the bleed? So scary xx

@Disney96 try to remember that HCG only doubles every 48 hours so they may not be getting darker yet because of that, and this evening they'd be fainter potentially because your urine was more diluted. Hope you're ok, I know how scary it is to see the blood there when you wipe. My partner said the look on my face when I noticed blood will never leave him as I was so panicked. Thinking of you, I'm sure it'll be absolutely fine Flowers

I’m so sorry you’re going through this @Disney96. They do say you’re more fertile for a year after being pregnant (regardless of outcome) and I’ve seen so many people on here who miscarry go on to have healthy pregnancies, wishing you all the luck in the world for when you try again ❤️

Snoopy28x · 04/06/2021 06:48

@Disney96 so sorry Sad Try and rest up, look after yourself wont you xxx

h465644 · 04/06/2021 08:14

@Disney96 oh I'm so sorry ❤️ take each day as it comes, and your little miracle baby will be with you before you know it. When I had my loss at around the same amount of weeks as you I found the GP's to be really unhelpful and that was gut wrenching, so if you need any support or guidance send me a PM xxx
