Grin anyone else melting slowly?! Lol

Normally I'm all for the sun but no . . Not right now. I beg it's not like this when I go into labour in a few weeks Confused

Argh tell me about it! 37 weeks here and melting - so uncomfortable and red-faced and sweaty, and that's before I've even ventured outside! Add a hyper toddler into the mix and all I want to do is lie in a hammock on a breezy beach with a nice (decaf) iced latte!!

Suite88 · 01/06/2021 12:28

Yes, melting here too at 39 weeks!

I've asked my midwife and she has assured me that the delivery suite has AC, unfortunately the post-natal ward does not!

33 weeks here and I must be one of the few people cursing the sunny weather. I popped out to the supermarket this morning and have been laying in front of a fan since! So much for my plan to be productive today...

NinaMimi · 01/06/2021 16:50

Yes I know how you feel - my due date is a week today. Last night was so uncomfortable. I hope I don’t go past my due date too much as I fear I will especially with this weather.

Italiandreams · 01/06/2021 17:17

Haha, It’s hot but I was also pregnant in the summer of 2018! Now that was hot!! And endless !

NoNobramma · 01/06/2021 17:23

I went two weeks overdue in the hot summer of 1997. I actually remember it quite fondly as it was the perfect excuse to lounge around doing literally nothing. Looking somewhat like an orca I’d imagine. I have the most naff T-shirt tan marks in my post birth photos 🤦🏻‍♀️

jupitermars1345 · 01/06/2021 17:26

38+5 here with dd2
Hot and have a terrific head cold
Feeling very sorry for myself and rubbish that I'm not doing much with my five year old on half term

TheLovleyChebbyMcGee · 01/06/2021 17:29

I'm only 8 weeks, but also a fat Scot in an English heatwave. Things are not going well. God knows how all you 3rd trimester women are doing it!!

As much as I'm enjoying my holiday, I can't wait to get back to my dreich home!

babyt2020 · 01/06/2021 19:19

Yes 34 weeks today and melting! I was also heavily pregnant in the stifling heat of last year! Must be mad

Humpty11 · 01/06/2021 20:02

I’m 39 weeks but actually suffered more when I was in the early stages of pregnancy in 2018 when it was sweltering, that made morning (all day) sickness unbearable!

SamoyedFan123 · 01/06/2021 20:57

34 + 2 here and suffering with sinusitis and a horrible head cold, while trying to potty train my 24 month old twins who are also full of a cold. It's like some kind of hell on earth...

Asher90 · 01/06/2021 21:06

Was pregnant in summer 2016 - swore never again 😂 33 weeks and I've just ordered a paddling pool for myself. If the kids can fit in they are welcome to baste me like a turkey. I am done for 🥵🥵🥵

Shmithecat2 · 01/06/2021 21:08

Heat wave ? 🤨😂. Try being 8mo pg in the Middle East when its averaging 50°c.

Coolerthanapolarbearstoenails · 01/06/2021 21:10

36 weeks and absolutely over it! I've put on so much weight absolutely nothing appropriate fits and I'm just wahhhhh

romdowa · 01/06/2021 21:11

I'm 17 weeks and I'm dying already 🤣🤣 I'm hoping for a wet and cold summer

DelurkingAJ · 01/06/2021 21:18

I have memories of spending most of the summer of 2012 either at the local swimming pool doing my best overheated whale impression or sat in my underwear being sprayed with water by DH.

Sippinongingernjuice · 01/06/2021 21:24

Nearly 36 weeks over here and spent half the day trying not to barf and the other half worshipping my fan... Try cold, wet tea towels over both feet and your head. You might look like a bell end but my god it helps. Unless I’ve just lost the plot this week?!

Shmerlock · 01/06/2021 22:48

34 weeks here and the heat is too much!! Nothing fits, I had to peel my underwear off myself to hop in the shower and my ankles and feet seemed to have morphed in to one solid lump 😅 I was warned about the swelling but nothing could prepare me for the monstrosities my ankles and feet would become!!!

Lullabymummy17 · 01/06/2021 22:54

Note to self... buy a battery powered fan for post natal ward... and a spray bottle. 34+4, sweaty boob problems and my feet are ON FIRE!
