First trimester exhaustion

I'm not really sure why I'm posting this thread as I know there's not much you can do for it but I'm currently 5-6 weeks pregnant and I am EXHAUSTED. The tiredness is literally hell.

This is my 3rd pregnancy (first ended in MMC at 3 months, second I have a beautiful baby boy out of) and I have always struggled with tiredness the most in the first trimester.

The only issue this time is I have a 10 month old that I'm at home with full-time (no nursery/childcare) who has a burst of energy which is slowly killing me off Shock

Anyone else pregnant whilst looking after a baby/toddler? Tell me it gets easier in the second trimester at least? Grin

I had it quite bad until 16wk when my consultant gave me extra folic acid to take, also had a multivitamin.
I have 5 kids and a military husband so was on my own home schooling through the whole 1st trimester. Was not the best but it did get better, now 29wk and it's going the other way again. I still manage to keep up with training in the gym but need a nanna nap after lol.

I was terrible, never napped so much in my life! Luckily husband WFH, nursery, plus Grandparents take our toddler. I don't know how you do it - superhero!

Is there any way you can palm him off for a few hours and have a nap?? :-D

It definitely does get better by 2nd trimester, but I am still having the odd nap here and there x

I have a 4 yo dd who tends to speak out loud every thought she has all day lol a very active 2 yo ds and I'm 8 weeks pregnant. I found 5 -7 weeks the most exhausting. I literally could of fallen asleep standing up. It's got a little easier this week. Trying to drink lots which seems to help and taking my vitamins religiously.

It's a hard slog, its helping that the weather is nice so can just get them out in the garden and sit and watch lol hang in there, 2nd trimester seems to get easier x
