Hi, wondering can anyone help me, I have an irregular cycle so it’s hard to pinpoint dates exactly, I had my first positive hcg test on 22/04/21 which was very very faint but darkened daily. On 15/05/21 I had a private scan which confirmed I was 5+5 and. Heartbeat was seen. I then had scan on 24/05/21 and she said I was only 5+6 but there was 9 days between scans? She could also see a slight flicker of a heartbeat but nothing strong. I have been booked in for Tuesday 01/06 for a repeat scan.

For about 5 days I have had a very light brown blood when I wipe, it’s not every time it’s just now and then, also my boobs were really sore up until the last few days but that seems to have lessened and also my sickness, that was really bad nausea allll day but for a few days now I have felt fine, I’m leaning towards this being a missed miscarriage but was wondering if anyone had experienced similar and had a positive outcome ? I’m really worried, I had a miscarriage in august but the bleeding started red and heavy within a day or 2 of the brown bleeding?

The dates on the scans ? Can these be wrong ? Can it catch up ?

The loss of symptoms? Can this be normal a

There is the possibility that you have incorrect dates, and the size difference between the 9 days is an estimate at this point, right? Early on in the pregnancy it's hard to get a correct date on it I think, from what I know. I had a missed MC last Christmas so I know where you're at. I started losing my symptoms around 9 weeks completely (I'd actually lost baby at 6) but didn't pass til well after 12 weeks when I found out, oddly enough. I can't say whether it's good or bad your symptoms are easing but in my personal experience, it wasn't a good sign. I know this is awful, but I know I appreciated kind honesty when I came on Mumsnet doing the same thing as you.
I didn't have any bleeding though other than I think pickish discharge at one point. We're all different after all.
I wouldn't like to say for certain but it's a good thing you have a scan booked on Tuesday so you can know for sure. Is it private or with NHS?

Trust your instincts, whether good or bad, but hold tight, don't lose hope just yet x

@Candy9, I am in a similar situation. Let me know how your scan goes.

Hi. I hope it all goes well for you. I had light bleeding in early pregnancy and it was fine. I bled from 4 to 7 weeks almost constantly but it was very light (on the tissue when I wiped but not enough to need a pad). There's nothing that can be done at this stage either way, so try not to worry as there's nothing you can do. but it's good that you have another scan booked. I've had 3 miscarriages so feel you pain and anxiety. I hope everything goes ok.

Unfortunately it’s a missed miscarriage, I go back tomorrow for medical. @ImmyMc I really hope you have a different outcome, it’s fingers crossed for you.

@lillg I’m sorry to hear about your losses, this is my second pregnancy and second loss, it’s really hard isn’t it.

It is. It's good that you know now rather than getting more attached every day, but I'm so sorry to hear your bad news. Make sure you look after yourself. It's even worse when doctors won't do anything until you go through the trauma 3 times. Hope the medical management goes ok, ask for help and support if you need it at the hospital, they're good when you get to the right people.
