UTI or Baby Pushing on Bladder?

Good morning ladies

On Thursday morning I woke up feeling a lot of pressure on my bladder, went to the toilet for a wee and the immediately felt the need to go again. This went on for around 3 hours and then stopped. I was more comfortable when sitting down and bladder felt heavy and full when moving around.
The rest of Thursday was fine, Friday and Saturday all normal too.

This morning I have woken up with exactly the same sensation if not a little worse. Urge to wee with not much coming out, slight pain and discomfort but not too awful if I am sitting down.
I am 16w + 4 and had a urine test at 15 + 1 all came back normal and no signs of infection
Any ideas folks?

Hey! I am further on than you but have been feeling exactly the same for AGES! Defo the baby pushing on your bladder! The amount of times I'm BUSTING for a wee - sit on the toilet and one drop comes out!!! The joys!! I'm tested every midwife appt and all has been fine! So it must just been a common pregnancy annoyance :) xxx

@RLou3 it's hellish! Lol. I've been bloody lucky with pregnancy symptoms with only minor nausea and limited everything else but this takes the biscuit lol
Nah, it's OK in the bigger scheme of things, just gonna drink loads of liquid today and a half paracetamol if the pain gets too much.

I hope yours eases up too but I'm so glad I'm not alone! Xx

I’m 24 weeks and have had the same on and off for weeks now. It’s always worse when I’m walking around. But all urine samples have been fine up to now so I put it down to baby pushing on my bladder.

He often does kicks to the bladder that make me instantly feel like I need a wee, but then barely a drop comes out.

So no advice, just I feel your pain 😩

@Moominmiss thank you so much for responding. no advice needed just so reassuring as a first time mum to know that this is "normal" (if that is the word lol)

I’m so glad you’ve put this up! I’m 15+5 and worrying myself over this bank holiday weekend with GPS closed. Is it Uti or just growing baby. I have no pain and no other typical uti symptoms but a constant low lying pressure. I’m just aware it’s there. Didn’t think your bladder could be affected this early, so comforting to know others are feeling similar

I’m 31 weeks and have had several instances where I’ve wondered if I have a UTI - one time I actually did, even though the symptoms weren’t the same as I usually get with a UTI and would come and go. After that instance and then continuing to feel like I was still getting the same symptoms after antibiotics but tested negative for a UTI at the GP, I ordered some dip tests to do at home from Amazon. They put my mind at ease when I’m getting on and off pressure on my bladder and wondering if it’s a UTI or just baby. Think they were only £10 for 100 x
