My period is meant to be due today and I took an 'ultra early clear blue digital test' yesterday morning first thing which is 1 day before my expected period and -2 days before a missed period. The result was negative and according to the leaflet of the test, the day that I took the test it should be

Digital tests and less sensitive than others. Re test with FRER, you're more likely to get an accurate result

Yeah the clear blue one I took says it detects 10miu and I was 1 day before my period and 16dpo so I would have thought this would be very accurate

If there is no positive result on the day you're due you're very unlikely to be pregnant (or the pregnancy isn't viable). If your sexual contact was 3 weeks ago or more and your test is negative you can safely exclude pregnancy whether your period comes or not. Good luck.
