Hi, I've recently been diagnosed with GD and have been controlling my levels via diet, but over last couple of days have had bad days due to birthdays and diet hasn't been great, I've had two high readings since yesterday and have been worried about the impact of that on the baby, can 2 high readings two days in a row increase the weight of baby significantly? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I've just been worried and regret eating stuff I shouldn't have eaten, I've read a lot about increased weight and shoulder dystocia which has raised my anxiety.

No, two high readings will not cause problems. I had gestational diabetes in all of my pregnancies and occasionally you make mistakes or give in to a craving. This website is really helpful and has great recipes.

Two readings won’t be the difference, but obviously still best to avoid if possible. It helped me to think of my baby as being allergic to sugar - one allergic reaction wouldn’t harm him, but I still didn’t want him to go through it.
