Hi all,

Around 5/6 weeks ago I posted on here questioning whether I may have had implantation bleeding as a I had very light pink spotting a few days after my period was due, this later turned into heavier light red blood that lasted a few days so I didn’t test. AF was due 5 days ago and hasn’t shown up. I’m not getting the cramps or spots I usually get right before AF makes an appearance and I’m 13dpo - instead, i am finding unscented white/milky ( first appeared today ) and very stretchy discharge 3/4 days ago, I’ve never had either of these before and wondering if this could be a sign of early pregnancy?

I’m experiencing a really weird taste in my mouth, it’s very faint but tastes similar to what I can only describe as washing up liquid. Apart from that, I have a small shooting pain on the left side of my pelvis and mild joint pain accompanied by awful mood swings and extreme tiredness.

Hopefully someone can tell me if this discharge is anything I should be keeping an eye on or if I’m just overthinking and getting my hopes up?

You are overthinking, but we all do it!

Symptom spotting is usually a bit pointless I think. But I have had white-ish discharge since BFP (now 20 weeks), also had a weird metallic taste early on for a few weeks.

You know how to get confirmation... test! I tested with FRER at I think 10dpo and had faint positive so if you can get hold of some FRER it should pick up at 13dpo x

If your 5 days late you should test.
Discharge is completely normal both pregnant and not pregnant so hard to say.

Hi!

Ah I know. We’ve been trying for 7 months now with no luck so any little twinges make me question!! I really thought last month was our month. I have some FRER coming tomorrow! x

I have tests coming tomorrow, so I will be once they’ve arrived. Yes, that is very true. It’s uncommon for me though.

Those all sound like pregnancy symptoms to me. I would have definitely tested already! Fingers crossed for you.

Ahh I didn’t even think anything of it until yesterday when I saw the discharge and realised AF was a little bit late! I then linked it to the fact I had the light spotting last month which was also late and still no sign of AF! I have FRER coming tomorrow so fingers crossed!

Keep us posted 😬 x

@CarlaFox keeping my fingers crossed for you! One thing I’ll say is that if you are 5 days late and 13dpo then that would make your average luteal phase 8 days. If you happen to not be pregnant this cycle, I suggest looking into luteal phase defect and treatment options! I have heard people have lots of success once they are able to lengthen their luteal phase.

How are you tracking your cycle? If your last period started 5/6 weeks ago that's something like a 35 day cycle, and as someone has said up above 5 days late for your period at 13 dpo would be a very short LP. Sorry this doesn't answer your question (earliest pregnancy symptom I ever had was thirst around 5 weeks, didn't notice any difference in discharge) just thinking it's worth maybe downloading an app or something to help you track if you don't have one already.
