How long does miscarriage bleeding last?

Hi ladies some of you may remember me from some of my previous posts where I found out my baby had bradycardia, well I lost her on Monday. I am currently away with my parents who do not know and my husband is hundreds of miles away I won't be back until Saturday. Anyway long story short I started light bleeding on Thursday which progressivly got worse, I passed the baby early hours of Monday. I went to A&E on Monday and they told me to manage it at home unless I get symptoms of fever dizziness ect. He said the bleeding should ease off over the next few days. I'm still bleeding bright red blood and still in pain, how long does this usually last? He said if it gets worse I may need a blood transfusion x

Mine lasted 2 weeks.

Yep about 2 weeks here too, I'm sorry for your loss and what you are going through, it must be really tough going through this alone

Mine was longer than a normal period, around 10 days, also it would sometimes slow down but then worsen again, but more up and down than a normal period, sorry for your loss xx

Mine lasted six days and it was like period. I think it varies a lot.

Mine went on for weeks and weeks in a stop start fashion but still passing huge huge clots like four weeks after. But I did need to keep returning for appointments at EPU. Hope yours passes quickly and really sorry for your loss.

With my 1st mc it lasted 3/4 weeks but that was due to an infection, antibiotics cleared it up. My last was only 8 days of bleeding after passing baby but 3 days of worsening bleeding prior to that so 11 days total. If it last a few weeks definitely get checked again, they should scan to make sure you don't have retained "products".

You have my sympathies with your partner being away, mine is military and took days to get home after all 5 of mine too. It's a really rubbish thing to have to go through alone.

I am very sorry for your loss.
I had a bleed for weeks and did not go to the doctor soon enough. When I did go, was given tablets to stop the bleeding. I am sorry I cannot remember what they were.
