I have been struggling with my self image as I spent the last few months trying to lose a lot of weight and developed an overhang which has given me a lot of uncomfortability. So when I started to expand with my little one I actually hated the way I look and feel. I still do to some degree but that's not my major question. Will my overhang get in the way if I need an emergency C-section? And what kind of treatment will I get from medical staff for having one? As I am already uncomfortable with the possibility that I will need to go to hospital.

I'm not sure what you mean by what kind of treatment you'll get? Do you mean will they judge you? If so, then no. They'll have seen it all before.

It won't get in the way. Once you're lying down everything will move, it's only really gravity that's giving you the overhang.

The only issue I can potentially see is it might interfere with healing a bit if the scar is covered by overhang. You'll have to be careful to watch for infection and it might feel more uncomfortable than it would otherwise. Your surgeon will advise you

Yes I do mean judgement, I am terrified of being exposed to people I would prefer to be covered up to. But at least it shouldn't get in the way. Thanks for your answer

Do not worry about it. The overhand will not be an issue for surgery but for recovery it can be as it can hinder healing. You just have to clean it more often to minimise the risk of infection. Medical staff will not voice any judgements to you.
I have a terrible overhang after having my twins last time and losing a lot of weight. All my flab on my belly droops below bump and is quite jiggly, really annoys me. Even when I'd become very slim the excess skin made me feel like I also still massive and I regained some of what I'd lost again. It's about £7k for a tummy tuck, I started saving a few years ago.
