When did you ttc #2

Very broody here! When did you ttc #2? Especially if you had a c-section. How long did it take you?

We started trying for baby 2 when my son was 19 months and I had a csection with him

You won't like my answer! ;-) We waited until my daughter went onto the 30 free hours at nursery as we knew we couldn't afford either maternity leave and a big nursery bill or two in nursery.
Unfortunately, my daughter turned 3 as Covid hit, so they wouldn't remove my implant for another 6 months due to it not being "medically necessary". I then had an ectopic pregnancy, which necessitated a 3 month recovery, so eventually am due to have number 2 when number 1 is 4.5! Not quite what we planned, but that's what life had planned for us!
It's definitely possible to try a lot earlier than we did... just the financials didn't work for us :-)

I didn't have a c section although did have quite a traumatic birth with my first that resulted in post labour surgery. We started trying for no.2 at around 12 months, although we hadn't been using contraceptives before then we just weren't actively trying at the right times if that makes sense. DD was 17 months when I conceived ds.

I'm currently 10 weeks pregnant with no.3 so very early days. We started trying when ds turned 12 months and conceived no.3 when he was 15 months.

1st was a vb. A bit over a year before ttc #2 and would have had a 2 year gap if things had worked out with 1st pregnancy after but we suffered 2 miscarriages between, ended up with a 5 year 4 day gap between 1st and 2nd.
I fell pregnant 3 months after my elcs (twins) unplanned but mc at 8wk. Was 5 years after cs we started ttc, had another mc and chemicals but now 28+3wk pregnant atm (baby 6), there will be a 6yr 5mth gap between this one and our youngest 2.

We waited till our first was over 3. I didn't want to be paying two lots of nursery fees. We have a 4 yr gap and I've loved it.
