Movicol for constipation?

Been prescribed movicol as I'm 17 weeks and very constipated! Have been for over a week. My gp has told me to take 3 sachets today and then 1 or 2 a day as needed.
Anyone know how fast acting this is? I'm desperate to go 😂

Not personally but my little boy had it prescribed and it's pretty quick lol

If you don’t feel that works, ask for lactulose. It’s prescribed for my daughter and I’ve used it occasionally (can be bought without prescription) and I have found it works well too. Goodluck 😆

Have been using on and off this pregnancy. About 12-24 hours for me .
Another thing that helps is upping water intake a lot . Drink a lot with it

I've taken it for years now.

3 sachets today should get things moving tomorrow latest. Then I'd take 2 a day for a few days to ensure it keeps working well and then taper to 1 sachet.
