Keepsake boxes for your baby?

Hi,

Who has keepsake boxes for their baby? And what do you keep in them?

Need some ideas!!

We have for all ours. They have all their cards from birth, birth bands from hospital and scan pictures. All their christening cards, candles and some have a my 1st Bible. Baby foot/hand prints. All their 1st birthday cards and any photo birthday cards they've been given over the years, school awards. I kept one of their 1st outfits and 1st walking shoes with pictures.

I have a folder full of all their school photos, some years bought them and others just kept the proof photos. I have lots of cards they've made for mothers day too.

Aw! What did you put in them?

I have them - first outfit, hat and tags from hospital, blanket I knitted, cards for birth christening and first bday, christening dress etc.
I'm very sentimental so also keep little things they've made, artwork they've done
I also have a book of their life (got from Amazon) which you can update quarterly so I write in that and stick tickets from days out, postcards from holidays etc

Ours has, tags from the hospital. New baby cards. A milestones book and a newspaper from the day he was born. We had first outfits and special clothes turned into a memory blanket.

DH has an old cufflink box where he kept their hospital bracelets, lock from first haircut and first birthday candles. Not something I would have thought to do but it kind of nice to know it's there.

We have another box where we have kept some artwork (I am much more ruthless than DH about what qualifies as worth keeping).

My mum kept things like hospital bracelets, first hair, early school books and then passed it all on to me a few years ago. I just threw it away abd slightly resented the responsibility having been passed to me!

I did this too - I had a lot of DDs nice outfits/clothes from her first year made into a quilt for her bed

What sort of box did everyone use?x

I don't have a box, but kept a journal for DD with the pictures and her first babygrow is in a box frame on the wall in her room, also had a lion teddy made out of her other ones. Will do the same for DD2
