Hi everyone,

I'm supposed to be 7 wk today based on LMP but on Sunday I started very light spotting and cramping, so I rang EPU yesterday morning and they scanned me in the afternoon only to find that I'm only measured at about 5 wk - very early pregnancy with gestation sac but no yolk sac to be seen yet. Yet there's no cause of bleed to be seen in the uterus. The midwife said it could be implantation bleeding but it just can't be possible as our last intercourse was in late April which resulted in this pregnancy!! I'm very confused and terrified as the bleeding has got heavier today although only flowing when passing urine and not much on the pads. EPU has booked me in for another scan to check for fetal development but it's not for another two weeks!! They say there's nothing I can do in the meantime. Has anyone had similar experience? I can't stop the worrying thoughts obviously. Sad

It’s possible that you ovulated later, so the baby is “younger” than you think.

I had similar. At 6w from LMP, I had a scan for spotting on wiping... they could see both sacs, measuring around 5 and a half weeks, but nothing else. They booked a scan for two weeks later. I was desperate for an earlier one but not even the private places would do one, you really have to wait. It got easier as time went on. Went back at 7+5 and the heartbeat was there. Had a scan yesterday at 10+2 and baby is looking good; despite a few more incidents of spotting.

It’s such a hard wait, but it’s all you can do.

All the best to you Flowers

Thank you @TakeYourFinalPosition. Very kind of you. It’s the increased bleeding today that really worries me. All the best to you too.x
