I am now entering the second trimester and am just wondering when I will get a pregnancy glow!
I feel sick, tired, OLD, drained and gross at the moment, will it end soon?

Sorry OP but I never got mine, am honing up hope now at 23 weeks. Am awake most of the night either needing a wee or having horrible heartburn, and working 45 hours a week, no chance of a glow Sad

*giving up hope

Oh bless you:( Ah well, it'll all be worth it in the end!

That’s what I keep telling myself Grin
I get to feel him kick now which has been quite nice. But sadly I think the glow is a myth for a lot of pregnant women!

I never got mine and I'm now in the 3rd trimester.
I didn't feel as crappy as I did in the first trimester but the "glow" never appeared

MGee123 · 25/05/2021 14:42

Hate to break it to you but mine never arrived and I'm now 29 weeks 😬🙈 I did start to feel less tired from 22 weeks onwards but couldn't honestly say I was 'glowing' 😂

Crazybabylady14 · 25/05/2021 14:49

Nope no glow or anything here...slightly less sick but that's about it.

Getting slightly irrationally annoyed at people's reaction to the 'how're you feeling' question when I tell them still pretty rubbish. Which to then have a look of 'well I felt amazing by that stage'. Well good for you 😡

SmidgenofaPigeon · 25/05/2021 14:52

@Crazybabylady14 maddening isn’t it?! I told my boss I’ve barely slept because of acid heartburn/reflux and she said, ‘well that’s not very sensible, you should be getting you sleep in now, I know that’s what I did!’ Angry

ElmtreeMama · 25/05/2021 14:57

Oh thats frustrating
I'm only 14 weeks and people say 'still?' Every time I say I'm tired and nauseous!

OP posts:
allfurcoatnoknickers · 25/05/2021 14:57

Sorry OP I never had a pregnancy glow. I had HG (the nausea variety) and just looked drawn and a very greasy, sallow grey/green color the whole time. Never spent more makeup on money in my whole life than I did trying to fake a glow.

However, DS was born by c-section and as soon as he came out I looked AMAZING. Pink cheeks, glowing skin, sparkling eyes, even after major abdominal surgery.

MyBabyBoyBlue · 25/05/2021 14:58

36 weeks and still waiting for mine!! Pregnancy really doesn't seem to agree with me...

MintGreenLife · 25/05/2021 15:00

@ElmtreeMama no glow for me! I'm 30 weeks and my skin has been pretty bad the whole way through. It seems to come in phases, where I'll get lots of spots for 3-4 weeks, then it'll calm down, but I'm left with a load of red marks from the spots, and will then flare up again just as the red marks are starting to fade!

Tilly18101 · 25/05/2021 15:08

16+5 here and feel as miserable now as I did in 1st trimester! I’ve even got persistent severe headaches and migraines that wipe me out - I’m sure will be worth it but F me it’s tough!

Hope you feel better soon OP.

Crazybabylady14 · 25/05/2021 15:09

@SmidgenofaPigeon I know it's as if it never occurred to us to just get more sleep/feel less nauseous/not have incredibly painful boobs/bad skin/restless leg at night/heartburn etc 🙄

Mama1993 · 25/05/2021 15:29

I found my pregnancy glow in a bottle of fake tan and a trip to the hairdressers!

georgarina · 25/05/2021 15:36

Having my moments now at 28 weeks lol.

But definitely not glowing like I was in my first pregnancy...and looked/felt rough all first and most of second trimester.
