Advice needed:

Could this be an evap line?

I currently have a 7 month old son, and am on the coil. I took a digital test this morning which said not pregnant. However. I've take. An FRER and its come up with a faint line.

I'm really unsure what to do if this is positive. Like I said, I have a 7 month old son and I'm not at all ready for a 2nd child, especially so close.

@Mamabear2221 that's what I think - the timing is never going to be right. But I'm worried that my son won't get all the attention he needs. How I suffered from HG with him, and realistically can I look after him as the SAHP whilst I'm sick again?

But then, I know I want another baby - and the age gap could end up being perfect for the two.. it's so difficult

@confusedandshocked94 I totally understand your concerns and they are very real! I will say that this pregnancy could be totally different than your last! There are lots of stories out there of people having children close together and then being the best of friends. My brother and I are 18 months apart and he was absolutely my first best friend. My mom says she wishes she had us even closer together. Have you talked to your partner?

Hey, i just want to say I (kinda) know how you feel.

I have a 9 year old and found out I was pregnant last November. I decided that it was unfair with the age gap and had an abortion - one I regretted instantly and still do today. My OH and I are now trying again and I feel awful knowing I would've been due in august!!

Happy to chat anytime - only bit of advice is take your time figuring out what is right for you. Get a peice of paper and write down your reasons (for and against) in light of your circumstances and then what your head and what you heart is saying. I wish I did this and heard about it through the counselling I got after my abortion.

There is never a "perfect" answer in this scenario but ultimately it's your body and you need to do what is right at this time for you.

Like I said, happy to chat whenever.

How are you feeling OP? I'm currently pregnant with a 10 month old, will be due in January with an 18 month age gap and also had an extremely difficult pregnancy and newborn so I know how you feel. Thanks

I still don't know how to feel.

I have an appointment with BPAS tomorrow to go through my options and speak to a counsellor. I'm so torn between my head and my heart

So my appointment wasn't great.
I had gone through all the mental preparation for a pills by post termination. That way, I wouldn't need a scan etc as I didn't want to see the fetus or get to the point where it has a heartbeat.

I was told because I have the coil in, I have to have that removed first. Then go for a scan to check it's not ectopic (I understand the reasons but it's still urgh) and then a dating scan to see if the early abortion is my option. I will be 7 weeks so it will be.

But, because I have to have a scan, see the fetus etc I now have had a u-turn on what I want, and want to just continue the pregnancy. I always knew if I was to see the baby on a screen my mind would change.

However, my partner is still very much in the termination camp. I feel we will split up if I go against his wishes, as he really doesn't feel ready right now and is only just starting to enjoy fatherhood. It's all so confusing

Hi Op, im sorry you are going through this. Just to reassure you (based on my experience!) You do not have to see the scan at all, I said I didnr want to and they were very careful to keep it hidden from me.

Sending you hugs x
