Hi,

I’ve gave birth 11 weeks ago (2nd Hyperemesis Gravidarum - HG - pregnancy) and our contraception failed on Saturday and I knew I was ovulating. My partner is going to get a vasectomy so we were relying on condoms. I took the morning after pill, thinking this would work and we’d be fine, but I now know that it won’t work if the egg has already been released, which I think it had judging on my previous experience of tracking my ovulation and being very tuned-in with my body - hence, I’ve got pregnant both times straight away.

I’m now in a complete panic in case I am pregnant; I don’t think I can handle another HG pregnancy - especially with a new baby and a 5 year old - but I don’t think I could terminate either. Has anyone successfully managed HG with young children? I was poorly until 6 and 7 months respectively and I can’t do that with a baby, it just wouldn’t be possible.

I obviously know that there’s a possibility that I’m not pregnant. But if history is anything to go by, there’s a high chance of it happening again.

xx
