BFP not getting darker

I got a BFP on Friday, not sure what DPO. This was the first month we decided not to ‘try’ I have a long cycle and I think I ovulated late. Which would put me somewhere between 8dpo - 16dpo. From Friday’s 2 tests to Saturday, it definitely got darker but then for the last 3 days it’s stayed the same or slightly lighter. I don’t really have any symptoms, occasionally my boobs hurt but not consistently. I’m worried this is going to be another chemical. Please tell me your experiences of light tests. Should I expect the worse? Do GPs actually do blood tests in this situation or just tell you to wait? Thanks x
P.s the last 2 tests are yesterday and this morning

You peak at different times of the day. Plus doing tests every day is useless as hcg needs 2-3 days to double anyway.

Hi OP. Congrats! You're pregnant!! As PP has said, doing multiple tests on the same day is not effective. You are better off testing every two days (or not even retesting at all to avoid falling down that anxiety inducing trap...easier said than done!).

GPs don't do bloods in this country. You'll only have that if you are high risk/have a clinics need, which it doesn't sound like you do from your post.

Good luck to you!

Tests don't need to darken - a line is a line - you're pregnant!

Back off the testing, you'll only boil your head obsessing over them

Congratulations! My first bfp was darker than the second one I took 2 days later and I too started wondering if something was wrong. My 9 months old DD is currently sleeping on me as I type this :) Try not to worry, as long as there is a line, it’s all good!

@Odinsraven ohhh congratulations!!! Amazing that you're pregnant ❤️ yeah back of the testing and put your feet up and enjoy that you've done it!!! 😍 Sending hugs and hope it all goes perfectly!

Thanks, I definitely need to step away from the tests. I’m so anxious something is going to go wrong. I feel like I’m expecting the worst, so that I’m not as disappointed.

I’m going to stop testing for a few days and See what happens.
