Hi guys. I wondered... is it possible to get pregnant when you aren't ovulating? I'm guessing the answer is no but some people have said it's a possibility?

I'm currently pregnant and I'm assuming my conception date is from when I was ovulating. But we also had sex just before I took the positive pregnancy test (when I wasn't ovulating and 2 days before my period was late. Which I'm guessing it doesn't happen that quickly unless he has super sperm) - just wondering which time it's most likely to have been?

Thanks

It isnt possible to show positive on a pregnancy test so soon after having sex, there are a lot of steps it has to go through before HCG is produced.
Sperm can however survive in the body for 5 days, so you could conceive a while after the egg is actually released, or get pregnant from sperm that has been inside a while before you actually ovulate.
And of course, unless testing for ovulation, you may actually ovulate earlier or later than you expected to.
