Hi,

It was just confirmed at my scan yesterday I am having twins. Looking for anyone here currently having or had twins to let me know if symptoms aren't as bad in second trimester?

I have been beyond exhausted and useless for my daughter so just hoping I get at least a little energy back?

Just wanted to say hello @IndigoJam as I’m also in the first trimester (9+2) and have found out I’m having twins.

I actually had 3 sacs at 5+2 as went to EPU with pain but by 7+2 only 2 embryos with heartbeats.

It’s been great reading this thread so far from other twin mums for advice and what to expect.

For long walks from home and sleeping in the garden Id recommended a second-hand old fashioned pram. But I'm a lot older than you and pushchairs for twins 30 years ago were awful! My sons loved it because the could see so much and each other!

@penny92 hey congratulations. 3 would have terrified me.

@IndigoJam

Can I ask you ladies which type of pram you found best? Tandem or side to side. Started researching and realised not a lot of things out there targeted at more than 1.
I have a silver cross wave tandem and love it - I have a narrow hallway and doors and where it's parked up in the utility is narrow so prefer it to the side by side

Congratulations x2. It will seem a big shock for a while but you will get through it. Take as much support and help as is given to you from relatives and friends and don't feel guilty for it.

Iron deficiency. Watch out for it. It made me utterly exhausted despite iron tablets and it wasn't until I pushed hard for an iron infusion that I got better.
Twins are great!

I'm 17w with twins and I feel so uncomfortable. I look 7m pregnant! I'm struggling with moving around and bending down is hard work. I feel like turning over in bed is the equivalent of moving a tanker

First trimester was exhausting but I feel more energetic. I do struggle to chase after my toddler though

@villainousbroodmare funnily enough I had iron deficiency with my daughter and found out I had it before I had an MC last year but so far it appears to be fine with the twin pregnancy which I find strange.

I'm almost 12 weeks just now and I've got so much energy and not as tired as I was. Constantly feel nauseous though.

Have my 12 week scan next week. Excited to see them again. Found out today that one of them is a boy.
