Labour signs

What are some signs people had before they went into labour? I can’t really remember with my 1st, is it true baby becomes less active before labour begins? He’s not been less active if anything the opposite

The runs, on and off for about a week. Nothing else for me. I don't think any of mine were less active than normal.
The waiting at the end is torture, over thinking every little twinge...
