Hi Everyone,

Hope all are doing well.

I am having severe hair fall post delivery. It's really too bad from two months and I am very scared for my hair now. Please suggest any good vitamins for hair fall. Also, Kindly advise on any tried remedies from personal experiences.

Thank you.

Perfectil Hair is very good.

I suffer with hair loss when stressed. My father was very ill and died and then the pandemic hit. I was losing a lot of hair, but I have thick hair so fortunately it didn’t show too much. Perfectil has made a real difference. It takes a few months, but give it a go.

Look out for deals on them, because they are ££.

Best of luck.

Thank you. I'll try them.

@Mams8989 Starpowa gummies x

Worriesome · 21/05/2021 20:10

@Mams8989 sorry meant to add that they can be pricey so I always waited for the penny sale at Holland and Barrett’s x

lightningpeach · 21/05/2021 20:23

I took marine collagen tablets from Holland and Barrett after my second DC and the hair thinning was definitely much less than after my first baby (only taking breastfeeding vitamins after first DC). This was a tip from my post natal yoga teacher!

Have you had s blood test to check you are not anemic? Anemia can cause hair to fall out a lot

Mams8989 · 22/05/2021 10:56

@Worriesome @lightningpeach Thank you Mamas SmileI'll check them here

@Serenschintte Yes, I got it checked. My iron was in normal range but it was still on the lower side. Thought of taking iron tablets but i have iron supplements can cause constipation.

It's normal to lose hair after birth as during pregnancy you lose a lot less. I lost loads with dd and would find hairs everywhere.

Emanchego · 22/05/2021 11:04

Hair fall? What's that?

Worriesome · 22/05/2021 11:50

@Emanchego - hair loss x

Is it really that hard to work out what OP means?
Emanchego · 23/05/2021 00:05

Worrisome - ah right thanks. 'Hair fall' sounds so weird. Just say hair loss, surely.

PlumpAndDeliciousFatcat · 23/05/2021 07:06

OP’s first language may not be English.

Have you had your thyroid checked, OP?

If it was weird then other members would not have understood either. Plus I asked for advise and not for an opinion.

@Emanchego I'll get my thyroid checked. Thanks.

Also, Thank you for making it an language issue based on no facts.

I assume that’s directed at me.

No need for sarcasm. My only motivation was support and a bit of empathy.

Have a nice day.

Confused plump was clearly defending the OP against the poster who commented on her slightly esoteric phrasing.

For what it’s worth I also recommend checking thyroid. A friend of mine lost almost all of her hair postpartum due to a thyroid issue.

Mams8989 · 23/05/2021 10:46

@ThanksItHasPockets Yes, I will. Thank you for advice.
