Gender scan right or wrong?

Hello,
Just looking for some clarity.
Had a gender scan at 16w2d (although scan said baby was measuring 15w6d)
Sonographer said girl but after looking at the images and looking online it looks to me like baby's bits are stuck out slightly... I know they can be swollen but just wondering if anyone has experienced the same and whether the scan was right or wrong? Don't mind either way but I really want to do a gender reveal and just want to be 100% Grin

I would just trust a trained sonographer tbh.

I think if the sonographer has said that the sex of the baby is female then go with that. Though you do have an anomaly scan at 20 weeks which may also be able to detect the sex of the baby so that will likely confirm.

Where I live they won't tell you the sex on the 20 week scan. I tried it with my first and they just wouldn't do it.
The gender scan sonographer said she was "pretty sure" which would be a fine enough answer if it was a free scan, but seeing as we paid it would be more encouraging if she had said she was 100% sure 🤷🏻‍♀️

My friend has the same at 17 weeks and then boy at 20 weeks. I would wait til 20 week scan before telling others

It is unlikely but it can happen that way round if they are shy not the other.
More unlikely if you can see everything clearly.

My friends was told she was having a girl and it turned out it was a boy 🤣

Yes I've read lots of stories online of people being told the wrong gender 🙈
I'm sure if it's wrong they will refund us but would be nice to know so we don't do a gender reveal and it ends up wrong 😅

It's probably not worth doing a sex reveal - outside of me and dh no one else cared about the sex of our baby. They were just delighted at a baby.

Most of our family and friends are keen to know the sex of our baby..
