Hi guys. I have really bad postnatal depression, baby is 4 months now. I’ve been taking sertraline for 8 weeks. Currently on 100mg, I still feel like I’m not making a lot of progress and it’s making me really anxious because I haven’t felt my self in such a long time. Was Wondering how long it took anyone to feel better when having pnd?

I don't have any experience with pnd but didn't want to leave this post unanswered. Maybe try talking to your gp? Have you been to any baby groups where you can speak to other mums?
Stay strong, my mum had it and came out the other end (no proper diagnosis back in the 90s!)! Here if you need to talk!

It can take a long time but it WILL pass. If the sertraline hasn’t made an appreciable difference by now, definitely go back to gp /perinatal team amd get it reviewed-maybe something else like venlafaxine might work better for you? Seek out all the help you can; pnd is a horrible thing and it’s not your fault.
