40 weeks - tummy ache

I feel silly asking this as it’s my third baby but my memory is failing me!

I woke up in the middle of the night with tummy ache but it stopped. It’s started again now but it’s more of a constant pain and isn’t corresponding with any tightenings.

Is this likely to just be a digestive issue rather than early labour?! It’s kind of like period pain but I thought if it was labour then I’d be having some mild contractions too.

Thanks in advance!

I am exactly 40 weeks today and have been having period type pains all the time since last Friday. It’s my first, but from what I’ve read I think it is normal and means things are getting started. Good luck OP!

Seems it’s not just me then! It stopped again so now I’m just waiting to see what happens.

It’s interesting you’ve had it since last Friday! I could be in it for the long haul in that case.
