Hey mnetters

Im currently breastfeeding my lo who is 15 months. I've had the usual possible pregnancy symptoms - v tired, nausea and dizziness so took a test on a boots branded test mid morning. A very faint line came up in the time frame but it you needed a torch to see it so presumed I was either too early or its a negative. Cleared out the bathroom bin after the school run and it was 100% positive two very clear pink lines. I've taken another test with fmu from the same packet this morning and its clearly a negative. I've bought a cb to test after the weekend but I was wondering if anyone has had pink Evaps?

I’ve always thought an evap wouldn’t have colour. I’d be inclined to think that was a positive but not sure why the second test was negative. Keep us posted and good luck x

@worriesome thank you would you recommend a brand? I've had evaps in the past which have always been grey or.colourless so this has thrown me!

@Diddlediddlehey when is/was your period due? I recommend any strip test, savers have a brand called clear and simple which are quite good x

Retest in a few days.

I'd tested almost a week before af due and it looked negative in the time frame so I binned it, noticed a clear 2nd line when emptying the bin days later and got a very strong bfp 2 days after af was due. 27+2wk now. I used the freedom cheap tests from asda 1st then CB digital at 5&6wk before self referring to midwives.

@Worriesome im not sure when my period is due as I'm still breastfeeding and it hasn't returned. I fell pregnant with my current baby (15 months) without a period as I was feeding my middle child at the time.

I'll have a look in savers when I nip to town at the weekend thank you.

@Chelyanne thank you thats lovely to know there's hope! I'm going to try and be really really good and not test till next week...I feel pregnant / as I did with my older children....ill keep you updated and thank you for responding I'm glad im not going dotty seeing that second line!

I'm 5 days late- sore nipples, craving things I don't usually crave, lower back pain/abdominal cramps and very tired (regularly having day naps). These are tests from the past week.
The clearblue came up a few hours after timeframe so think it may be an evap. What do u think?

@PossiblyPregnant0571 being 5 days late I’d expect an clear positive. I can’t see anything on the FRER and I can see the positive on the clear blue but if it’s hours later then we can’t really take that as a true result unfortunately x

I rang doctors as they say they need to look into it as I had a positive on CB just in case and still experiencing symptoms so who knows

Worriesome · 20/04/2023 12:08

@PossiblyPregnant0571 I hope you get the result you want, wishing you luck x
