Just that really. I'm booked for Friday at 15 weeks.

I have secondary aged children, have a bmi of 29 and carry my babies very big! I'm as terrified of catching covid as I am the vaccine.

Dp isn't keen but then hes not the one who won't be protected against covid and at risk.

I had my first (astrazeneca) at 3 weeks
Due my second next week at 14 weeks, nerve wracking isn't it Confused

But I'm also overweight and anxious about covid

Had both Pfizer jabs in December/January, no problems after.

Missreginafalange · 19/05/2021 15:25

Had my first Pfizer jab last week and apart from a sore arm for 12 hours nothing else

Katy4321 · 19/05/2021 16:45

Had my first pfizer jab at 14 weeks yesterday and felt fine apart from a bit of a sore arm. Did have a slight headache, but have been getting those with pregnancy anyway. Took half a dose of paracetamol.
Really happy to have had it, but thought very carefully about it, definitely feel happier to have protected myself and my baby from the great risk of covid.

Had my first pfizer in January and had to delay my second dose in March as was newly pregnant and the guidance hadn’t changed
Had my second 2 weeks ago, felt like DEATH after it but all is well with the pregnancy
I am so glad to be protected if I’m honest. Side effects were: banging headache, extreme nausea, exhaustion, felt hot and shivery but temp was normal. Side effects were the same both times.

Just the sore arm on the first dose! Maybe a bit tired that afternoon but would struggle to say it was 100% down to the vaccine. Was 18 weeks when I had it. Oh should say, it was Pfizer I had

Thanks everyone. I think I'll go ahead with it and keep everything crossed 🤞

Hope you don't mind me jumping on board the thread! Had anyone had it later in pregnancy? I'm booked in for in a few days and will be exactly 38 weeks. My gut feeling is go for it but at the back of my mind I have a niggle should I just wait? Obviously safety of baby comes first, second to that is having to arrange it with a newborn and active toddler doesn't sound fun (I'm the type to feel rough!) Argh help Confused

ER20 · 20/05/2021 13:18

@raspberryjamlove I’m 38+4 weeks and had my first vaccine yesterday, Pfizer, no side effects other than a dead arm which is now near enough back to normal.

I’m hoping to breastfeed so decided he’d get it passed through anyway and whilst there’s not a huge amount out there I hope it’ll work similarly to other vaccines and give him some protection too.

Have you read the NHS, Gov and RCOG guidelines for reassurance?

Had mine -Pfizer at 37 weeks this week. Zero symptoms- maybe 10% more lethargic than standard the day afterwards but very hard to tell right now as generally so knackered anyway! Glad I had it done.

Tryingandhoping2020 · 20/05/2021 15:32

I had my first Pfizer at 19 weeks - had a sore arm and that was it! Good luck
