First signs...

I'm not posting this under my usual name as I don't want this to be an 'announcement' which I have to retract later IYKWIM.

But....what were the first signs that you were pregnant and how soon did they kick in?

going from a 34b to a 38c virtually overnight, going off tea and coffee, strange metallic taste in my mouth. Good luck

With my two pregnancies, had a strange metallic taste and sensitive boobs (!) before my period was due. Nausea didn't kick in until about 5/6 weeks.

mild stomach aches , metallic taste in mouth right after period was late, morning sickness at about 6-7 weeks. Very bad stuffy nose (not like a normal cold). Fatigue feeling right away after missed period.

Overwhelming PMT-like symptoms! Ratty, tired and very sore breasts. All before my period was due. Strange taste in my mouth and ridiculous amounts of saliva appeared about a week later.

Being unable to run upstairs without getting really out of breath, at 2 weeks pg. At 3/4 weeks v.v. tired and joy of joys at 6 weeks chucking up soooooo much, for the next 34 weeks actually, but that's a whole other story!! Good luck.

Um... +ve home pregnancy test when my period didn't appear I guess.

And sore boobs.

A vivid red rash on my arms and legs which I put down to putting on suncream too soon after shaving my legs (we were in Marbella) but my GP spotted as an oestrogen surge - I also had it about four weeks before ds was born and about seven weeks after the birth - sore and itchy.

Chronic fatigue and then sickness from about seven weeks

Felt like period was due to start any minute, sort of heavy feeling in my belly, metallic taste in mouth. Best of luck xxx

Really really really tired! Could have slept all day and night and still felt tired.

Felt off colour, a bit queasy straight away and so very tired. Also boobs very tender. also felt bloated, needed to pee a lot and felt like my period was about to start (not much help that one!)

Period like pains when period would have been due. After I knew, metallic taste, sensitive breasts, overwhelming tiredness. Can't you just do a test?

Tinker, it's too early for a test. I hate this bit so much, just waiting and hoping and analysing every little symptom...

Being VERY emotional!

Hi Hoping - when I recently thought i was pregnant I had a blood test done. I was told you can have it done a lot sooner then when you first miss your period and before a normal home urine test becomes positive.

I knew i was expecting no 3 very soon after conception, i had a very strange feeling dont know how to explain it ,i just knew. But the first physicall sign was needing to pee 6/7 times a night.

producing lots of saliva, sore breasts (first time, but not so much 2nd time) and extreme tiredness. good luck

Adding to the list of first symptoms - my breasts went first, tender within two weeks of conception, quickly followed by my waistline - stomach felt bloated. Soon the heavy stomach was conterbalanced with lightheadedness, progressing to constant feelings of nausia. Oh joy!
