8 week scan

Hi!

I was wondering if anyone could help.

I am currently nearly 10 weeks pregnant and we got a scan at 8w+1D. Is it normal for the picture to look like this? I just can’t tell what’s what and it’s such an odd shape!

The baby was measuring perfect and heart rate was good too, but I’m now starting to obsess over this scan photo and wonder if this looks normal or not or if anyone could advise me where the head etc is?

Looks normal to me, you're still very early and baby looks like a blob - normal.

I say this in the most in-patronising way I can, are you usually anxious?

No not normally at all. The pic just looks so strange to me that it’s started freaking me out lol. I have my 12 week scan 3 weeks yesterday

Looks completely normal, it's absolutely tiny and not baby shaped at 8 weeks.

My LO was a blob at 8 weeks also!
He’s currently 2.5 and having a danger nap 🙊

This was mine at 8+2 it really is just a blob! Im almost 33 weeks now! Try and not worry it does more harm than good

Don't worry mines looked like this also, if you think it's what the size of a blueberry so it's not going to be super clear. Plus it does sort of look like a tadpole type thing this early on.

The picture looks good and totally normal. Congratulations! It's usually clearer during the scan but difficult to get a good image. I wouldn't worry about it at all.

Just to second another poster, your full name, date of birth and hospital (so location) are all visible. Obviously no problem if you're comfortable with it.

Mine was literally a blob with a flashing bit in the middle for the heart 😂 don’t worry, it’s mad how much changes in a few short weeks !!!

Mine looked like a turtle at an 8week scan and in the video I got of it looks like they have a little fishtail swimming away 😂😂 Now I am further on I can confirm they are no longer turtle shaped, defo a baby ☺️It is totally normal 😍 and congrats ❤️
