Bleeding

Has anyone else experienced heavy bleeding followed by clots?
I'm 14 weeks pregnant and about a week ago I had a massive bleed with clots. It slowed down and came back again and has been on and off for 7 days. I've had two scans at the hospital following the heavy bleeds and baby is just fine, the doctors can't seem to find a cause.
It's so stressful not know what my body is doing and if baby will be okay through it all.
Has anyone had this happen to them without any explanation? X

@ohehir1 have you had an internal examination? I had bleeding at 10 weeks and went to EPU for a scan after it went on for three days. Scan was fine, but they did an internal examination afterwards and I was found to have a polyp on my cervix. They weren't worried about it and was just told it may cause more spotting. I didn't have any until about 26 weeks and had another speculum - my consultant was happy it was the polyp and it's since stopped (now 29 weeks). Could be something like this, and some women do unfortunately just bleed in pregnancy x

Are you taking aspirin? Midwives seem to tell everyone to take it at the moment, but what they don’t tell you is that there is a risk of bleeding.

I had an internal too and they couldn't see anything. Seems to be a mystery for now! Thanks for your reply :)
