TMI! Gross pic!!! Weird discharge at 23 weeks.

Hi there, I'm in need of some advice. And apologies in advance for the photo!

Over the past two days, when I have wiped (mainly in the evening) I have some strange gloopy stringy discharge (see photo). I have no itching and there's no smell. I think I vaguely remember having similar discharge at the start of pregnancy but haven't had any like this since then.

Do you think it's normal or maybe part of my mucus plug???? I'm a bit of a worrier, so slightly freaking myself out!

@Aarti96 I had discharge like this a few weeks ago when I was just getting over thrush but when I was trying to find answers online (cos the colour freaked me out too!) I remember seeing that it’s not anything to worry about unless there’s blood/smell etc etc x

@MrsMcNtobe oh that’s reassuring thank you! Maybe I should get tested for thrush too because I’m sure it can be asymptotic sometimes.

@Aarti96 definitely worth a check, my only symptom was a bit of itching then after I started canesten the discharge was like neon yellow but it went away pretty quick.. pregnancy definitely makes the body do weird things!

Maybe get urine checked for a UTI too. Defo doesnt look like mucus plug tho.

@PFin funnily enough I had a UTI about 3 weeks ago, they sent my sample to the lab and then I was put on antibiotics for a week! Could be that the antibiotics have caused thrush...I have an appointment with my midwife on Friday so I’ll speak to her then about it

@Aarti96 I've had bits and bobs like this throughout, mine seems to change regularly. I had a swab done after I had it on and off for a couple of weeks and came back normal. I have had BV and thrush during pregnancy and both times the only symptom I had was spotting!

pregnancy discharge and I now have a healthy 2.5 year old!
