Covid vaccine first trimester

Hi!

I know there are already some thread on covid vaccine... but I would like to hear from women who had their first dose in their first trimester! What were your side effects, did you have any fever?

I am supposed to get mine this week, I am 11 weeks... I know I could wait few weeks to get to the second trimester, but I am due to take a flight in three weeks so at the same time it would probably be good having the vaccine beforehand.

Any advice? :)

Thank you!

Unless severely vulnerable I do wonder why you’d have the vaccine at such an early stage? How come you need to fly?

I had mine early in the first trimester. Didn't have any side effects.

I need to fly abroad for family reason. I live in the UK but I am from another country and all my family is there, I have been pushing this a long time because of covid rules and then push it to after the first scan...

Thanks @shivawn! seems like pfizer does not give much side effects after the first dose, which is good...

@cloud2021 No, I work in a healthcare environment where we all got the pfizer vaccine together in December. Out of the 50+ people I work closely with, a lot had a dead arm after the first one and maybe 3 or 4 had nausea, vomiting or fever for a day after the second dose. Hopefully you won't have side effects, most dont but if you do then take panadol to regulate your temperature and they won't last too long!
