Just as the title says really.. I don’t know why I was so stupid.. have read label and it doesn’t suggest there was anything unpasteurised however I’m really worried I’ve poisoned us both..

Ingredients are below.. is there anyone around that can tell me if there is anything dodgy that I should be concerned about..

There is nothing in that list that you should be worried about. If you were/are sick it's just a coincidence. Pregnancy does strange things to your body and your body seems to have decided it didn't want that cheesecake.

dementedpixie · 16/05/2021 20:51

No there's nothing worrying in there. Everything is pasteurised and not dangerous. Maybe you just ate too much

MishMashMummy · 16/05/2021 20:53

Absolutely nothing to worry about in that list. It was maybe just a bit rich, or something else entirely.

Hope you feel better soon, and don’t fret in the meantime - babies are robust enough to handle plenty of sickness while in utero Flowers

The nhs website says cream cheese is safe during pregnancy. This is not the type of cheese they are referring to when they say to avoid soft cheese during pregnancy.

alexio · 16/05/2021 20:54

If your in the UK anything that contains unpasteurised ingredients need to say it on the label. So you should be fine in that sense.

It's probably just not agreed with you, as said above pregnancy does weird things to you. I couldn't eat eggs or bananas during my last pregnancy without being so ill but pre and post pregnancy I have been fine

Travellingraspberry · 16/05/2021 20:57

Nothing in the ingredients to worry about. Maybe just a bit rich for you at the moment? I had similar after I'd had a hot chocolate when I was pregnant, slightly wary of hot chocolate now even though it's been 3 years!

I asked my midwife if I could eat cheesecake and she said yes so I bought one just after the appointment and ate some later that day. I felt so awful I had to make myself a bit sick. Thinking I maybe ate too much! This was around 6-7 weeks ago. Have since had a slice at a restaurant and was fine :)

georgarina · 17/05/2021 05:42

I had this with a muffin last pregnancy...some sickness and felt rough and then it passed in a day. It's not likely to be anything dangerous, just one of those things.

OutComeTheWolves · 17/05/2021 05:48

You'll be fine.

ApplePie86 · 17/05/2021 05:49

I ate cheesecake in a cafe yesterday. Had diarrhea a few hours later and my first tiny bit of spotting so I was worrying a bit too! All stopped but it's definitely a worry!

Peachee · 17/05/2021 12:38

Phew so glad I’m not alone. Had horrific sickness (I’m very rarely sick) and Diarrhea.. seem better today thankfully.. just feel a bit sensitive around food.. hopefully I’m over the worst now..

I ate a cheesecake last week and spewed (11weeks) however I put it down to a combination of richness and morning sickness and wasn’t worried

KMD23 · 05/03/2023 00:15

So glad to have found this thread, I just had a cheese cake with similar ingredients and went really cold and have been sick, I've rarely been sick since pregnancy started, so hoping it's just coincidence. Hope all is OK with everyone 🙂
