Likelihood of pre eclampsia?

I’m 36weeks, had an appointment on Wednesday just gone due to having reduced movements, blood pressure and urine was fine. Since then I’ve been having really bad headaches (and I never suffer with headaches), I’ve also been having chest pain on and off and severe heartburn burn to the point I woke up at 5am vomiting today. Of course every time I google it the same thing comes up.. pre eclampsia... I have no swelling or anything but I just generally feel crappy. I am trying to hold off on ringing the midwife as I wouldn’t be able to see my own one until Wednesday meaning I’ll have to go the hospital which is an hour away and I don’t wanna waste their time if it’s unlikely anything serious. So basically my question is.. can pre eclampsia strike so suddenly? Within a couple days?

I was diagnosed with pre eclampsia and hellp syndrome at 37 weeks. I had no symptoms at all except a bit of protein in my urine. I was sent for further tests to be safe but midwife was positive I didn't have it because blood pressure etc was normal and I felt fine. They done some blood tests etc and sent me home, withing 30 minutes I was called to go back in and told I did have pre eclampsia and I was to be induced there and then. I was so confused and upset because I felt fine and was sure they were wrong but my the time they got me down to the labour room by full body swelled up and my blood pressure went through the roof. I don't know whether it was the stress and upset that brought my symptoms on but I literally went from fine to full blown symptoms within minutes.

Everyone at the hospital said this was rare though so i hope I haven't scared you but I think it's important to highlight that this does happen. Definitely phone them you are never wasting time. Fingers crossed for you its nothing serious.

I had an appointment on a Thursday and all checks were fine. By Saturday I had full blown pre eclampsia and HELLP syndrome.

Get checked out x

Just go to the hospital to get checked over. I promise that you’re not wasting anyone’s time.

Pre eclampsia can come on quite suddenly
I had it with my first baby
My symptoms where raised bp, protein in urine, vomiting, swelling and then they took some blood and found some markers for pre eclampsia in them to
I was induced the same day at 35+3 all worked out absolutely fine and baby was fine but yes best to get checked

I'm now 36+3 and I don't have symptoms atm but have been told to call for swelling, severe headaches, pain under my ribs, visual disturbances, generally feeling very unwell in my self
