Hi!

I’m pregnant with my first baby, I’ve just gone to the toilet and after wiping I’m pretty sure my mucus plug has come away.... I’m 32 weeks pregnant, babys head is low but he’s moving normally. I’ve got pressure in my lower abdomen/vagina area (like I’ve been kicked).
I had a scan on Friday due to growth and he’s already measuring big, 5lbs and I’m being sent for a GTT this week.
Should I be phoning triage or is this normal? I’m probably just being really silly I know but I didn’t think you lost your plug until later!
Anyone got any advice?

Thankyou!

It can happen early or it might just be part of the plug. It regrows so no need to worry. Some women never "lose" a mucus plug, others do. Unless there are other signs/things that are concerning you I wouldn't ring triage. Maybe ring your midwife/community number if you want to check

Thankyou @User0ne I did think that, he seems perfectly happy in there kicking me in the ribs and other than his head placement being uncomfortable everything’s fine!
I’ll ring them if anything changes but Thankyou for the reassurance!
