Did the line on the clear blue show within the time specified to read the test?
Just asking because it isn’t a clear solid line, it’s very thin and then sort of bled over to the right iyswim so wondering if it’s evap line?
Maybe test again in another couple of days.
Good luck.

Sunny56 · 16/05/2021 07:28

Yes it showed up in 5mins

Oh that’s awful, what a mess for you. No idea whether you’re pregnant or not. To me the first looks very definitely positive, and I have no idea why this morning’s aren’t. Even if something had gone wrong with the pregnancy, the amount of hcg wouldn’t disappear that suddenly.
You are still a few days before it’s testing, I imagine, so you’ll probably just have to endure the torture and wait a few more days. I have a 5 day transfer last week too, so know what an emotional upheaval this must be for you. Hoping you get a positive in the next few days.

I would expect the first response to be the most accurate and likely to have a clear positive by 7dp5dt, especially if you’d had a positive on the clearblue the day before. Unfortunately when this happened to me after my first IVF pregnancy it turned out to be a chemical pregnancy.

Wishing you luck. I’d stick to the first responses and test again tomorrow to be sure. Flowers

Sunny56 · 16/05/2021 07:42

But surely, even if chemical the line should be still there?

I always thought the digital tests needed a higher lever of hcg to work? As you can get a faint line with a strip test but a digital is just yes or no so I wouldn't worry. Buy some cheapies from Poundland or something and do another digital in a few days! The first test is a clear positive!

disneymad85 · 16/05/2021 07:50

I found the digitals much less sensitive than other tests and took a while to show up positive. Can you get hold of a first response test?

Keeping everything crossed for you

Hi @Sunny56, I'm really sorry you are going through this. I have just experienced exactly the same this week. Positive results 7dp5dt but by 11dp5dt they had gone...my test pictures are basically exactly the same. I had got excited I was pregnant (and was already having symptoms) bur now think I have suffered a chemical pregnancy as it suddenly just stopped. It has also made me lose confidence in the tests. It is heartbreaking but I hope the outcome is better for you. x

Sunny56 · 16/05/2021 07:59

But this is just 24 hours difference. I'm going to get another clear blue test to compare the lines, it's really stressing me out now.
First response was done this morning and not even a faint line can be seen.

Did you have a hcg trigger infection before transfer?

alfreds · 16/05/2021 08:03

Sorry, posted too soon.

Some people test out the trigger injection so a possibility that you have residual hcg?

Sunny56 · 16/05/2021 08:10

I did have trigger, but I already tested at 5dp it was vvvvvvvv faint line on clear blue you could barely see it

bitheby · 16/05/2021 08:10

12/13 dpo is still pretty early to get a result on a digital as they're not that sensitive. You can only compare tests when using exactly the same type.

Sunny56 · 16/05/2021 08:17

I know about the digital sensitivity but the first response is surprising me

TheDaydreamBelievers · 16/05/2021 08:29

@Sunny56 how stressful! Not surprised the digital showed not pregnant as the threshold is much higher but the FRER and clearblue should match. Will you try another this morning?

Sunny56 · 16/05/2021 08:30

I will try to get another clear blue test once the shops are open

OP posts:
bitheby · 16/05/2021 08:42

Ah sorry. I didn't click on the picture and didn't see the FRER.

MabelG · 16/05/2021 10:08

@Sunny56 were you more hydrated with the second tests? My tests were always darker in the late afternoon for some reason. Good luck

Sunny56 · 16/05/2021 16:24

So did the test again this morning and negative, so clearly I false positive!! Must have been an evap line, I'm so surprised about how much colour it has - and it is still there! Devastated
